The first department is already on the platform
Holyrood Fire Department, in Holyrood, Newfoundland and Labrador, is running the first live RespAI pilot. Sensors ride on the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), volatile organic compound (VOC) dose streams to the chief dashboard, and every call a crew runs adds to a firefighter’s career exposure record.

Holyrood firefighters respond with RespAI’s multi-gas detector mounted on the SCBA they already wear. Nothing was reissued, and no response procedure had to be rewritten.

How a Pilot Works
Live data from the first shift
Three steps. Only the first one asks anything of your department.
Mount on
The multi-gas detector rides on the SCBA your department already runs. It totals a firefighter’s VOC exposure over the call, plus carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, combustible gas, and oxygen for acute safety. It is rugged, and there is nothing extra to carry.
Respond as usual
Your crew works the incident the way they always have. Dose adds up as they work. Incident command gets an alert the moment a member passes a threshold set by published exposure standards.
Watch the record build
The chief watches department-wide exposure on the dashboard while the incident is still open. Underneath that, each firefighter’s record grows one response at a time, and nothing already written can be changed later.
